Aerostar Group is a group of aviation companies, the first of which started in Adelaide in the 1980s. Aerostar Group now includes:
- Helistar Aviation – the largest South Australian owned helicopter company, operating at Parafield and Adelaide Airports.
- Aerostar Aviation – flying training from ab-initio to multi-engine IFR plus charter and aircraft hire operating at Parafield Airport.
- DroneCo – drone aerial photography & commercial drone services
- NAC – aircraft maintenance providers
Helistar Aviation
Helistar Aviation has been providing helicopter services to major clients since 2005.
We provide aviation solutions across Australia specialising in air work but also providing charter flights and helicopter training. We have proven expertise in highly specialised work such as powerline inspection and insulator washing, search & rescue work, filming for feature films and geophysical survey work in remote areas. If you have a need for an aviation solution, we can provide it.
Our key priority is your safety. To ensure we meet the highest levels of safety performance, we have implemented a Safety Management System that conforms to the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s safety management framework and to AS45001 for safety management systems. Key clients audit our safety management system on a regular basis and the international Flight safety Foundation audits Helistar annually and has certified it to meet its Gold BAR standard so you can rest assured that we conform to these standards.

Aerostar Aviation is a CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) approved training organisation, providing the highest standard of instruction.
Our location at Parafield Airport north of Adelaide offers ideal flying training conditions in controlled airspace with student friendly air traffic controllers.
Operating alongside a maintenance organisation (NAC) means our planes have minimal down time, and also gives students the chance to learn more about the aircraft and their maintenance.

Droneco has a long and successful history within the Australian Aviation Industry including asset inspection services under the banner of Helistar.
Droneco is at the forefront of commercial drone solutions to acquire, process and deliver actionable aerial data to innovative customers, as well as providing a complete service or training packages to tailor suit customer’s needs.
